Shanxi Province to eliminate 20 million mt of coal capacity in 2017

China’s Shanxi Province has announced that it plans to eliminate about 20 million mt of coal production capacity and 1.70 million mt of steel production capacity in 2017. 

Meanwhile, Shanxi Province also stated that in 2016 it eliminated 23.25 million mt of coal capacity, ranking first among China’s provinces in coal capacity reduction.
