Shangang Group posts massive increase in finished steel export volume in H1

In the first half of the current year Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shangang Group exported 609,200 mt of finished steel products, generating $398 million in revenue, up 305.3 percent and 307.6 percent respectively on year-on-year basis. 

Shangang Group has stated that it has been implementing a unified ordering system for its subsidiaries and has also been implementing a consistent standard across its subsidiaries in the management of customer relations. In addition, Shangang Group has focused on optimizing product mix, market structure and export channels. The group states that it is also exploring new markets and potential markets. Southeast Asia and South Korea are its traditional markets, while India and Brazil are numbered among its new markets.
