Shandong Steel to relocate workers at Jinan Steel to Rizhao Steel

Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shandong Iron & Steel Group Co., Ltd (Shandong Steel Group) has announced that it plans to relocate workers at Shandong-based Jinan Iron and Steel Co. (Jinan Steel) to Rizhao Steel Holding Group Co. (Rizhao Steel). The relocation plan still needs to be approved by provincial authorities in Shandong. On August 5 this year, Shandong Steel Group shut down a 1,750 m3 blast furnace at its subsidiary Jinan Steel.
