Chinese steelmaker Shandong Steel Group has lately shipped a batch of 1,700 metric tons of high quality steel plates to Australian steel producer Bisalloy.
While China has made major advances in exporting steel products, there still exists a gap in terms of exports of high quality steel products between China and overseas suppliers due to differences in production process and quality control. This latest order show that Shandong Steel Group has the abililty to manufacture high quality steel plates for the overseas markets.
Bisalloy is the only producer of quenched and tempered plates in Australia. Its products include wear-resistant steel, high-strength structural steel and military armor plate.
