Shandong Steel achieves operating revenue of RMB 120.6 billion in 2013

Shandong Province-based Chinese steelmaker Shandong Iron and Steel Co. (Shandong Steel) has announced that it achieved an operating revenue of RMB 120.6 billion ($19.8 billion) and recorded a net loss of RMB 600 million ($98.4 million) in 2013. In the given year, Shandong Steel produced 23.6357 million mt of pig iron, 22.7459 million mt of finished steel and 22.7934 million mt of crude steel, up 1.14 percent, rising by 0.54 percent and down 0.92 percent year on year, respectively.
 
In 2014, Shandong Steel plans to produce 24.65 million mt of pig iron, 24.10 million mt of crude steel and 24.06 million mt of finished steel, while it is targeting an operating revenue of RMB 130 billion ($21.3 billion) as well as a return to profit in the year in question.
