Shahrood Steel to start hot running tests soon

New Iranian rolling mill Shahrood Steel Co., which is located in Shahrood city, has finished the installation of equipment and is preparing to commence hot running tests within the next couple of days. The new mill was set up with an initial investment of IRR 68 billion ($7.32 million), 95 percent of which was publicly funded. Shahrood rolling mill has a designed annual production capacity of 150,000 metric tons of rebar. Some of the equipment and machinery involved was supplied to the mill by Iranian companies.
