Jiangsu-based Chinese steel producer Shagang plans to start maintenance on its 1,450 mm hot rolled production line for around 10 days from late March, according to industry sources. The overhaul work is expected to result in a shortfall of about 100,000 mt in the steelmakers' output of hot rolled coil (HRC).
