On June 11, Jiangsu Province-based Shagang announced its ex-factory prices for mid-June. The details are as follows:
1. Rebar prices have increased by RMB 20/mt ($3/mt) from early June levels. As a result, the price of 14-25 mm diameter HRB 335 is now at RMB 5,870/mt ($848/mt).
2. Prices of common carbon high speed wire rod have remained the same as early June levels. Thus, the price of 6.5 mm Q235 is still at RMB 6,220/mt ($899/mt).
3. Prices of C70, C82D, 77A, 42B, and steel cord have jumped up by RMB 120/mt ($17/mt). Following the adjustment, the ex-factory price of 6.5 mm 77A is at RMB 7,230/mt ($1,045/mt), with the price of 6.5 mm 82B at RMB 7,240/mt ($1,046/mt). Meanwhile, prices of 30MnSi, 1008 series, 45# steel, and cold heading steel have remained constant. Thus, the ex-factory price of 6.5 mm 45# hard wire rod is still at RMB 6,900/mt ($997/mt), while that of 6.5 mm 22A cold heading steel is at RMB 6,950/mt ($1,004/mt), with the price of 6.5 mm 35k cold heading steel at RMB 6,880/mt ($994/mt). High carbon wire rod have increased by RMB 100/mt ($14/mt), with the new price of 6.5 mm 65# hard wire rod at RMB 7,000/mt ($1,012/mt). An overall upward adjustment of RMB 80/mt ($12/mt) has been made to the ex-factory prices of 5.5 mm for all the above grades.
All the above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective from June 11 to June 20.
