Shagang issues ex-factory prices for late January

SteelOrbis Shanghai On January 21, Jiangsu Province-based steelmaker Shagang released ex-factory prices for long products for late January. The details are as follows: 1. Rebar prices increased RMB 30/mt ($4/mt). Following the adjustment, the price of 14-25 mm diameter HRB335 is now at RMB 3,160/mt ($407/mt). 2. Wire rod prices increased RMB 30/mt ($4/mt) from mid-January levels. As a result, the price of 6.5 mm diameter Q235 is at RMB 3,330/mt ($429/mt). The above prices include 17 percent VAT and are effective from January 21 to January 31, 2007.
