Shagang announces ex-factory prices for June

On June 1, Jiangsu Province-based Shagang released its ex-factory prices for June. The details are as follows:

 1. Rebar prices have remained the same as late May levels. Thus, the price of 14-25 mm diameter HRB 335 is still at RMB 5,850/mt ($843/mt).

 2. High speed wire rod prices have also remained constant. As a result, the price of 6.5 mm Q235 is still at RMB 6,220/mt ($896/mt).

 3. HR coils have jumped up by RMB 200-360/mt ($29-52/mt) compared with the previous month. Prices of common carbon are up by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt), with the price of 5.75 mm x 1,500 mm x C Q235B at RMB 5,900/mt ($850/mt); meanwhile, SPHC prices have increased by RMB 360/mt ($52/mt).

 4. Wide and heavy plate prices have increased by RMB 300/mt ($43/mt).

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT. The long product prices are effective from June 1 to June 10, while the HR coil and wide and heavy plate prices will be in effect for the whole month of June.
