Shagang announces ex-factory prices for July

On July 1, Jiangsu Province-based Shagang released its ex-factory prices for July. The details are as follows:

1. Rebar prices have risen by RMB 120/mt ($17/mt) from late June levels. Thus, the price of 14-25 mm diameter HRB 335 is now at RMB 5,550/mt ($809/mt).

2. High speed wire rod prices have remained constant. As a result, the price of 6.5 mm Q235 is still at RMB 6,220/mt ($907/mt).

3. HR coils have jumped up by RMB 100-200/mt ($15-29/mt) compared with the previous month. Prices of common carbon are up by RMB 200/mt ($29/mt), with the price of 5.75 mm x 1,500 mm x C Q235B at RMB 6,100/mt ($889/mt); meanwhile, SPHC prices have increased by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt), with the price of 2.0 mm x 1,250 mm x C SPHC at RMB 6,800/mt ($991/mt).

4. Wide and heavy plate prices have increased by RMB 100/mt ($15/mt). Following the adjustment, the new price of 20-29.9 mm x 2,000-3,199 mm Q235B / SS 400 is at RMB 7,600/mt ($1,107/mt).

All the above prices include 17 percent VAT. The long product prices are effective from July 1 to July 10, while the HR coil and wide and heavy plate prices will be in effect for the whole month of July.
