Severstal’s steel supplies to Russian construction sector up 20% in Q1

Russia-based Severstal, one of the world's leading vertically integrated steel and steel-related mining companies has announced that in the first quarter of this year it increased its steel deliveries to the construction industry in Russia by 20 percent year on year.

Severstal offers to Russian construction companies a wide range of steel products including color coated coil, structural pipes, hot rolled and cold rolled steel. In the first quarter, supplies of long steel products increased by 37 percent, while supplies of pipes and rolled-formed steel sections increased by 16 percent, both on year-on-year basis.

Dmitriy Goroshkov, head of marketing and sales at Severstal Russian Steel, commented, "In total, Severstal supplied about one million metric tons of metal products to Russian builders in the first quarter of this year. The company makes the best offer of the product range and associated services. This year, we are launching additional initiatives to increase the range of products for construction, develop associated services and improve communication support."
