Severstal to supply pipes for Southern Corridor

Russian steelmaker Severstal announced that it will supply about 64,000 mt of pipes, made by Izhora pipe plant, part of Severstal Russian Steel, for the Southern Corridor project.

The supply will include pipes with diameter of 1,420 mm, made of K60 grade steel with external and internal anti-corrosion coating.

According to results of 2012-2013, over 100,000 mt of large diameter pipes were produced for the construction of Southern Corridor. To date, the main product specifications have been agreed with the Russian state gas monopoly Gazprom. The entire volume of the supply is planned to be shipped in the third and fourth quarters of this year.
