Severstal reorganizes its business

The Russian steel producer Severstal has announced the reorganization of its business into three divisions: Severstal Russian Steel, Severstal Resources and Severstal International.
 
According to the new structure, Severstal Russian Steel will include Russian-based production facilities for steel, pipe, metalware, services and also scrap procurement operations. Severstal Resources will consist of Severstal's assets relating to iron ore, coal and gold extraction. Meanwhile, Severstal International will comprise the European (Lucchini Group) and North American (Severstal North America and SeverCorr) segments.
 
The new structure takes effect during the current month.
