Severstal launches Izhora Pipe Plant

Severstal, one of the largest Russian steel producers, has launched Izhora Pipe Plant (IPP), an industrial complex for production of large diameter pipes for oil and gas pipeline, on Friday. The annual production capacity at IPP is 600,000 tons of single-seam welded pipes with diameter from 610 to 1420 mm, wall thickness of up to 40 mm and pipe length of up to 18.3 meters. The total amount of investments put in the project equaled to approximately $600 million.
