Russia-based Severstal, one of the world's leading vertically integrated steel and steel-related mining companies, has announced that its Cherepovets Steel Mill, part of the Severstal Russian Steel Division, has completed  an overhaul of the rolling mill 5000 at its rolling plant No. 3.

With the upgrading of the rolling mill 5000, the wear resistance of equipment will increase and the time interval between overhauls will widen.

Severstal's rolling mill 5000 produces around 700,000 mt of steel plate per year, destined for the largest projects of Russian pipe companies.
