Ukrainian major scrap collectors are intended to stop scrap supplies to Ilyich Iron and Steel Works of Mariupol (Ilyich), if the latter would not close the debt on scrap purchases until the end of July. Mr. Zaitzev, the Vice General Manager of Vtorchermet, one of the scrap collectors in Ukraine, has warned Ilyich that the major scrap collectors are ready to cancel agreements on scrap supplies with the plant if the debt for scrap purchases would not be paid off. According to the operational data, the total debt of Ilyich for the scrap supplies is approximately UAH 50 million (approx. $1.857 million).
