As per the Orbis Steel Index data, the index movements in the week from March 20 to March 26 as per product are as follows:
Turkish Scrap Index continued its downward trend. The index value decreased by 4.09 percent week on week to 110.27.
US (East Coast) HMS I/II Scrap Export Index maintained its downward movement, with the index value falling by 9.25 percent week on week to 121.29.
Turkish Rebar Index declined by 3.01 percent to 104.24 compared to the previous week.
Turkish HRC Index moved upwards, with the index value rising by 0.16 percent week on week to 86.77.
Black Sea HRC Export Index moved downwards by 1.99 percent week on week to 93.61.
Turkish HDG Index increased by 1.31 percent week on week to 97.16.
Turkish CRC Index did not show any change week on week. The index value stayed at 93.84.

Turkish Scrap Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of domestic ferrous scrap purchased weekly by Turkish steel mills, and imported HMS 80/20 CFR Turkey.
Turkish Rebar Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of commercial quality deformed steel reinforcing bars produced and sold by Turkish mills and subsequently merchants, both in the domestic market on ex-warehouse basis and for export on FOB Turkey basis.
Turkish HRC Index: based on the weighted average of prices published by SteelOrbis of commercial quality HRC produced or imported, and then sold by Turkish mills on ex-warehouse basis.
