Saudi Arabia removes ban on scrap metal exports
Saudi Arabia has lifted a 16-year restriction on scrap metal exports in compliance with the World Trade Organization (WTO) regulations. As previously reported by SteelOrbis, the measure was initially announced in March 2006 following the kingdom's membership to the WTO in December. The move is expected to increase the country's exports mainly to India, Germany and China.
