Sales of SAIL increased by 15%

According to recent news in the market, sales of Indian mill SAIL have increased by 15% during October-November period. In the same period, SAIL sold saleable steel of 1.68 million tons in domestic market. This amount was 1.46 million tons in the same period last year. Moreover, cumulative sales recorded in April-November period, the first eight months of current fiscal, reached 5.8 million tons, which indicates a 6% increase when compared with the figure recorded in the same period of previous year. The demand for SAIL's products increased again in the same period. The company sold 2.2 million tons of long products with an increase by 5.5% and 3.3 million tons of flat products with an increase by 6.5% when compared with the figures of the same period last year. In October-November period, highest sales were recorded in plates, tubes and pipes. Meanwhile SAIL is working on new project to expand its product mix with the purpose of meeting the requirements of its customers.
