SAIL to modernize BSP and Bokaro

Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) reportedly plans to invest Rupees 1.83 billion ($42 million) to modernize its unit Bhilai Steel Plant (BSP) and to install two compressors at its other unit Bokaro Steel Plant. In line with the project, sinter plant-II at BSP will be revamped and an Air Turbo Compressor and an Oxygen Turbo Compressor will be installed at Bokaro. Rupees 1.02 billion is expected to be invested in BSP and the remaining Rupees 810 million will be invested in Bokaro. The projects BSP and Bokaro will be completed in 33 months and 20 months respectively.
