S. Korea's steel imports gain momentum

South Korea Iron & Steel Association disclosed that the country's steel imports rose 10.2 percent year on year to 532,548 tons in February. South Korea's imports of Chinese products indicated an upturn in February after falling for five consecutive months. Import of steel into South Korea from China has been indicating an upward trend since 2002, hitting a record 406.6 percent in February 2005.
