Finland-based steelmaker Ruukki has announced that members of the Finnish Federation of Professional and Managerial Staff (YTN) went on strike this morning, November 1, following a failure in collective bargaining negotiations between the union and the Federation of Finnish Technology Industries.

According to Ruukki's statement, the strike will affect all Ruukki's business areas and corporate administration in Finland, likely to cause delivery delays. The strike will end at 6 a.m. local time on Monday, November 21, 2011, unless a settlement is reached in negotiations before then.
