Finnish steelmaker Ruukki has announced that it has signed a contract worth €1.3 million with Finland's Normek to deliver steel components for 150 ore wagon chassis. Normek Oy will weld the wagon chassis and deliver them to the Swedish company Kiruna Wagon. The ore wagons will be used by the mining company Northland Resources.

Ruukki's newest delivery for Kiruna Wagon's ore wagon project consists of ready-to-install components made of high-strength steel plates for the load-bearing frame structure of the wagons. The company stated that the plates will be rolled at Raahe, cut and beveled at Ruukki's steel service centre in Seinäjoki, where some of the components will also be flanged.
