Finnish steelmaker Ruukki has delivered a total of 38,000 mt of steel shipbuilding products, such as plates and profiles, for the hull of the Allure of the Seas cruise ship, which has been built at international shipbuilding group STX Europe's shipyard in Turku, Finland. The amount of steel Ruukki delivered accounts for around 70 percent of the steel used in the vessel, the company said.

The newly-completed Allure of the Seas and its identical sister ship, Oasis of the Seas, which was completed last year are the world's largest cruise ships. Ruukki also delivered about 70 percent of the steel used in Oasis of the Seas. The vessels are 361 meters long, have capacity for 6,360 passengers and 2,100 crew members.
