Russia's steel product imports down 50 percent in January-May

In May this year, Russia's steel product imports from CIS countries increased by 23 percent compared to the previous month and were down 50 percent year on year to 316,000 mt, according to Russia's Federal State Statistics Service.
 
During the January-May period of the current year, Russia's steel products imports amounted to 1.35 million mt, falling 50 percent compared to the same period in 2014.
