Russia’s Unistud to install new 50,000 mt capacity painting line in 2011

The Russian galvanized steel producer Unistud has announced that in 2011 it plans to start the implementation of a new project for the installation of a new painting line with a total capacity of up to 50,000 mt per year.

Also, in the immediate future, Unistud plans to modernize its continuous hot dip galvanizing unit, aiming to increase its production capacity to 90,000 mt per year.

Unistud's galvanizing line, commissioned in June 2006, has an annual capacity of 60,000 mt per year. Since the commissioning of the line up to the present, Unistud has produced 178,000 mt of commercial grade galvanized steel.

The company's share in Russia's flat rolled steel product market amounted to 3.5 percent in 2009, and is expected to be increased to four percent in 2010.
