In 2011, Russian companies produced 10 million mt of steel pipes, up nine percent compared to 2010. In December alone, Russia's steel pipe production went down by 0.2 percent compared to November.
 
In 2011, Russian imports of steel pipes increased by 21 percent year on year to 1.37 million mt.
