Russia’s stainless steel imports up 6.7 percent in July over June

According to the data issued by the Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (Spetsstal), in July this year Russia's import of the main stainless steel products increased by 6.7 percent compared to June, amounting to 18,135 mt.
In January-July 2010, Russia's stainless steel product imports exceeded 101,500 mt, showing an increase of 88.9 percent compared to 2009, and almost reaching the level of 101,700 mt recorded for the same period of 2008.
