The volume of Russian imports of the main types of stainless steel products in the first half of the current year increased by 2.4 percent year on year to 124,200 mt, according to Russia-based Spetsstal association.
In the given period, the volume of imports of stainless steel flat products increased by seven percent, with stainless long product imports rising by 16.7 percent, and stainless wire imports increasing by 18 percent .In the first half, the volume of imports of seamless tubes decreased by 33.7 percent, the stainless welded pipe import volume declined by 18 percent, and stainless billet imports contracted by 21.7 percent, year on year.
