Russian imports of stainless steel products in September this year increased by 38.3 percent month on month to 26,293 mt, up 6.8 percent compared to September 2014, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.

Meanwhile, during the first nine month of the current year the total import volume of stainless steel products decreased by 14.2 percent year on year to 167,100 mt.

According to market players, as reported by SpetsStal, Russian importers are slowly adjusting to new business conditions, and the decrease of import volumes is being compensated by optimization of stocks and the exit of traders from the market.
