Russia's stainless steel imports down 11% in March from February

Russian imports of stainless steel products in March this year decreased by 11 percent month on month to 16,029 mt, according to Russia-based SpetsStal Association.

In the given month, imports of stainless flat steel products increased by 22.5 percent, imports of long stainless steel products increased by 18.2 percent and imports of stainless wire went up by 8.9 percent, all compared to February.

In March, Russian imports of stainless steel seamless pipes increased by 42.9 percent, ERW stainless steel pipe imports went up by 113.2 percent and imports of stainless billet increased by 62.1 percent, all month-on-month basis.
