Russia’s stainless steel exports up 10.5 percent in Jan-May

According to the data issued by the Russian Special Steel and Alloys Consumers and Suppliers Association (Spetsstal), in May this year Russia's stainless steel product exports decreased by 11.5 percent compared to the previous month, falling to 452 mt.

In the January-May period of the current year, Russian exports of stainless steel rose 10.5 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2011, to 2,902 mt. Meanwhile, the volume of stainles steel imports for the same period was 86,802 mt.
