Russia's iron ore exports up
Russian iron ore exports reached 9.98 million tons during the first six months of the year, up 4.3 percent year on year. Russia exported 3.6 million tons of iron ore concentrate with a 15.8 percent decline. However, sintering ore exports rose 40.5 percent to 392'000 tons while pellet exports increased 22.2 percent to 5.5 million tons. Russia's iron ore exports to non-CIS countries amounted to 8.37 million tons. Furthermore, iron ore exports to Ukraine reached 1.5 million tons in the first six months of the year.
