Russia’s ferrous metal export volume up 14.6 percent in H1

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-June period of the current year Russia's ferrous metal exports increased by 14.6 percent year on year to 20.07 million mt, including 2.214 million mt of pig iron, up six percent year on year. The total value of Russia's ferrous metal exports in January-June this year was $11.936 billion, up 10.7 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the given period Russia registered a 34 percent decrease year on year in its ferrous metal imports to 2.959 million mt, with a total value of $2.954 billion.
