Russia's ferrous metal export volume up 10.7% in January-February

In the first two months of this year, Russia's ferrous metal export volume increased by 10.7 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat). In particular, Russian exports of pig iron rose by nine percent, while exports of semi-finished products increased by 17.2 percent, both compared to the January-February period of 2014.

In the first two months this year, Russia's exports of ferrous metals to CIS countries increased by 21.2 percent year on year. In particular, Russian exports of semi-finished products rose by 2.3 times, while its exports of flat steel decreased by 15.4 percent, both compared to the January-February period of 2014.
