Russia’s FAS to closely monitor Vyksa price rises

The Russian Federation's Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has requested Vyksa Steel (Vyksa), a subsidiary of Russia's United Metallurgical Company (OMK), to inform it regarding any price rise the company performs on its large diameter welded pipes.

The FAS has obliged Vyksa to provide it with justifications for any price rise for subject products of more than 10 percent compared with the average prices of the previous half-year.

In addition, the FAS has warned Vyksa against any actions which might lead to reduction of capacities, or a stoppage or redirection of production priorities, of large diameter welded pipe producing mills.
