Russia’s coal mining output rises by 1.5 percent in 2014

In 2014, Russia's coal mining output increased by 1.5 percent year on year to 357.33 million mt, including 251.8 million mt by open-pit mining, up 0.4 percent year on year, according to Russia’s Central Dispatching Department for the Fuel and Energy sector.. The production volume by the underground mining method increased by 4.2 percent to 105.5 million mt.
