Russia’s coal exports rise by 13.4 percent in January-August

According to the data issued by Russia's Ministry of Energy, in the January-August period of the current year Russia’s coal exports increased by 13.4 percent year on year to 122.45 million mt. In August alone, Russian coal exports amounted to 15.6 million mt, up 8.6 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the first eight months Russia’s coal output rose by six percent year on year to 264.3 million mt, while in August alone the country’s coal production went up by 0.65 percent year on year to 33.15 million mt.
