Russia’s Ashinskiy sees steel output decrease in May

According to its data issued for the first five months of the current year, Russian steel producer Ashinskiy Metallurgical Works (Ashinskiy) produced 311,127 mt of electrical steel, including 306,134 mt of slabs.

In the January-May period, Ashinskiy produced 268,586 mt of rolled steel products, up 3.2 percent compared to the same period of last year.

In May alone, the company produced 61,146 mt of slabs, and 51,044 mt of rolled steel products, down 2.4 percent month on month.
