According to the data released by the Federal Customs Service of
Russia, the country's export of ferrous metal rose 16.9 percent year on year to 19.25 million tons in January-May of 2006.
The export of flat rolled products rose 7.7 percent, that of semi-finished products rose 9 percent, that of
pig iron rose 21.3 percent, and that of coal rose 19.9 percent during the same period.
