Russian coal exports up 17.2 percent in Jan-Feb

In the January-February period of the current year, Russian coal exports increased by 17.2 percent year on year to 23.937 million mt, according to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat). In the same period, Russian coal imports declined by 3.4 percent year on year to 5.111 million mt.

In the given period, Russia produced 56.815 million mt of coal, up 2.8 percent compared to the same period last year.
