Moscow-based stainless steel trading company Special Steels and Alloys Co. has announced that it has commissioned its own pipe welding operations in Russia's Kaliningrad region, for the production of stainless steel round and section pipes.
Currently, the plant, with 4,500 mt per year capacity has three welding lines and other equipment for the production of stainless steel round pipes of 23 diameter sizes (from 12 mm to 76 mm) and of wall thicknesses ranging from 0.5 mm to 3 mm. In addition, the plant is able to produce section tubes of ten sizes - from 15 mm to 60 mm.
The products' quality conforms to European standards DIN 17457, DIN 11850 and EN 10217-7. The pipes are made from steel grades including AISI 304, AISI 321, AISI 316L, AISI 316Ti, AISI 430, AISI 409 and AISI 439.
