Russia-based AEMZ Company casts first billet at new meltshop

Turkish plantmaker CVS Makina has announced that the six-strand high-speed billet caster of Russia-based AEMZ Company has produced its first billets. The billet caster was supplied by CVS Makina within the scope of AEMZ Company's turnkey meltshop project.

The meltshop project, with an annual capacity of 1.3 million mt, included the supply of an 130 mt electric arc furnace, a 130 mt ladle furnace, a fume treatment plant, a six-strand high-speed billet caster and other technological units.

CVS Makina is maintaining its strong position in the Russian market amid the ongoing investments of Russian iron and steel industry.
