Russia sees rise in industrial output

Russia's industrial output rose 3.9% year on year in the first quarter of 2005, Russia's Federal Statistics Office said. In March alone, industrial output grew 4% year on year and 8.1% month on month. For 2005, Russia's Economic Development Ministry targets a 5.1% rise in industrial output and GDP (Gross Domestic Product) growth of 6.5%.
