Russia reduces stainless steel output

Russia's Federal State Statistics Service disclosed that the country's stainless steel production fell 34.1 percent year on year to 66,020 tons in the first eleven months of the year. In November alone, stainless steel production amounted to 7,890 tons. This indicates a year-on-year decrease of 17.1 percent. Russia produced 109,730 tons of stainless steel in 2004, down 15.6 percent over 2003.
