Russia posts decline in its production results for 2013

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in 2013 Russia registered a 1.7 percent decline in its rolled steel product output to 57.9 million mt, a 2.3 percent decrease in its crude steel output to 68.8 million mt and a 0.7 percent decline in its pig iron production to 50 million mt, all year on year.
In addition, in 2013 Russia produced 26 million mt of metallurgical coke, down 3.4 percent compared to 2012, and 10 million mt of steel pipes, up 3.5 percent year on year.
