Russia issues January-October production results

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the first 10 months of the current year Russia registered a 2.6 percent decline in its rolled steel product output to 48.2 million mt, a three percent decrease in its crude steel output to 57.5 million mt and a 0.9 percent decline in its pig iron production to 41.7 million mt, all year on year. In the given period, Russia saw a 5.1 percent increase year on year in its steel pipe production to 8.4 million mt.

In addition, in January-October this year Russia produced 285 million mt of coal, down 2.9 percent year on year, and 21.6 million mt of metallurgical coke, down 3.9 percent year on year.
