Russia issues January-October production results

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-October period of the current year Russia registered a 5.1 percent rise in its rolled steel product output to 52 million mt, a 4.4 percent increase in its crude steel output to 59.2 million mt and a 5.8 percent rise in its pig iron production to 42.2 million mt, all year on year. In the given period, Russia saw a 6.4 percent decrease year on year in its steel pipe production to 8 million mt.

In addition, in January-October Russia produced 290 million mt of coal, up seven percent compared to the same period last year.
