Russia issues January-May production results

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the January-May period of the current year Russia registered a 1.6 percent decline in its rolled steel product output to 23.3 million mt, a 3.4 percent decrease in its crude steel output to 29 million mt and a 1.8 percent decline in its pig iron production to 20.8 million mt, all year on year. In the given period, Russia saw a 4.5 percent rise year on year in its steel pipe production to 4 million mt.
